All Smiles

We are now on our 2nd Trimester!

I told Scott to squeeze his eyes really tight so we
could show how excited we were.

I am now at 14 weeks and going to see Dr. Chan on Thursday for another appointment. Never thought I would love going to the doctor as much as I do. We're going to try and take a picture of her so I can show all of you. Such a creeper thing to do, but Chinese people love pictures... so maybe it won't be so weird.

And. Super, super exciting:
We'll be finding out in about a month from now
whether we're having a boy or a girl.

Oh, and Scott keeps referring to the baby as "Oscar".
Somebody make it stop.

because i wondered too:

www.compassion.com

Right when the website pops up, there's a "donate now" button for Haiti. If you were wondering how to help, there's one option from a reliable and trustworthy organization.

psalm 139. 9-10

So I got this in an email from Mom this weekend. Much needed little reminder.

It's funny because the day I read this when I opened my email, I read it like...

"...if I settle of the FAR side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast."

Some days I feel like that. Like oh okay that's me... I'm far on the other side of the sea. But I really am beginning to see how God is so changing me. Guiding us. Holding us fast. Ooo I love that fast part too. Bringing me to this FAR side to change me. To reveal new things. Scott and I are knowing Him more. And beginning to see that that's the whole point.

the secret's out...

clue #1
we've added a new picture to our fridge.

[can you guess which one?]

. . .

clue #2
it's inside the red heart.

I'm pregnant! I usually don't love exclamation points, but I feel that this is exclamation point worthy. Scott and I found out the day before our anniversary. We're due in July and having the baby in Hong Kong. Woo hoo!

and such a fun part of this: NAMES.

We are rejoicing.

a wrap up

from our squished in week of showing mom and sarah hong kong.

My favorite part is that they didn't really care about seeing this place or that. They were perfectly content with sitting and talking... So were we.

I tried [actually, credit goes to Scott] to take a few pictures. Scott loves the "running man" on my camera [he's out of control on that setting], so I had to scroll on through some of those to actually get to the good ones.

first day opening christmas presents at our apartment. SO fun.

right in the middle of Scott doing the running man setting.

the MTR... Sarah's least favorite form of transportation.

the MTR. can't you see her enthusiasm? probably a forced smile.

in our new shades from Mimi and Papa!

our little treasures from the Jade Market.

in front of a really fun hotel.

at a market in Stanley.

and the last few are from the Harbor...

They left early this morning to head back to Auburn. Their trip really was such perfect timing.

I think I had hit that five month wall of wanting a little taste of home. That was exactly what they brought with them. I am so refreshed!
