hebrews 12:1-2

for those of you who know us, you know that these verses are the ones that we prayed and meditated over as we prepared to get married. now as we end this season of life in auburn and prepare for the next in Hong Kong, we want to cling to this. when thinking about these verses, we think about you. what a great cloud you have been in our lives. we think about the many who have played vital parts in the way that the Lord has made Himself known to us.

"therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perserverance the race marked our for us. let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and eprfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
